A few kilometres from Mimizan, the lake at Aureilhan offers a multitude of activities in a setting conducive to relaxation.
A walk like no other
For about an hour, visitors are invited to stroll through the 400 species of plants (flowers, plants, shrubs) that adorn the lake of Aureilhan. In the middle of landscapes covered with colourful flowers, you can follow this enchanting walk on a self-guided or guided tour (during the summer period).
If you are planning to go on holiday to Mimizan with your four-legged friend, he or she can also join the walk as pets are allowed on a lead.
Water activities within walking distance of the Mimizan campsite
Although smaller than its neighbours, the Biscarosse and Sanguinet ponds, it is still of interest to those who enjoy fishing and water sports. Indeed, it is not uncommon to come across fishermen on the pontoon who are certainly hoping to catch pike, pike-perch, trout or even carp on the end of their fishing rods.
During your trip to the lake, you can also take a kayak, pedal boat, rowing, sailing or stand-up paddle to spend a real moment of conviviality with your partner, family or friends.
