Heading down to the south of the Landes, Moliets-et-Maâ can be reached by car in less than an hour from the Mimizan campsite.
Huchet Current Nature Reserve
A listed site since 1981, the nature reserve is located in three communes: Léon, Moliets-et-Maa and Vielle-Saint-Girons. Its reputation has been growing for almost a century thanks to the presence of the first boatmen in the 1920s.
Also known as the "Landes Amazon", the Huchet stream nature reserve now welcomes 100,000 visitors a year!
To discover this unique place of more than 600 hectares where no less than 250 species of birds live side by side, you have two choices. You can walk the 15 kilometres of marked paths or take a boat trip
Moliets beach
On your way to Moliets, you can enjoy one of the most beautiful beaches on the Côte d'Argent: the beach of the courant d'Huchet.
There are also two other beaches, including the central beach and the beach of the cork oaks (naturist beach)
The ponds of Moliets
Nature lovers can also go to the Etang de la Prade for a 6 km walk or to the Etang de Moliets (classified Natura 2000) for a 4 km walk.
Moliets Golf Course
In an exceptional setting on the edge of the ocean between the dunes and the Landes forest, golf enthusiasts can indulge their hobby at the Moliets golf course.
